Sponsor Shout-Out #6: Hapa Sushi

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Hapa Sushi, home of the insanely good Spicy Tuna Nachos (I heard the have sushi, too), kicked in a gift certificate that we gave to developer Zach Kim, who said he couldn't have learned more about Scala Lift than coming to this session. Volunteering with SnapImpact: Good for the soul, good for the brain, and good for your taste buds. Thanks, Hapa!

Sponsor Shout-Out #5: Belvedere Belgian Chocolate Shop

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Cori Chavez was the lucky winner of a Belvedere gift certificate from another one of our awesome local donors. If you're anywhere near downtown today and feel like venturing outside, one of Belvedere's crazy delicious chocolate treats will make it that much more worthwhile, especially when it involves putting on pants. They're open until 7:00pm today, so no need to rush out right now.

Sponsor Shout-Out #4: Illegal Pete’s

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

We've started handing out gifts to our helpers, and one of those that got a big reaction was a gift card donated by Illegal Pete's. Like many of us, I became a true devotee the moment I saw them mix the ingredients in my first IP burrito before they folded it up. For remaining on the forefront of burrito innovation, and for rewarding one of our incredible volunteers, Illegal Pete's, we salute you. Flickr photo credit: CKI2008

So instead of giving you an update on where product negotiations are headed, I thought it would be better to introduce one of the top stakeholders in All for Good. Bob Leidich is the Program Manager for the AARP's Create the Good program, and he uses the All for Good volunteering data feed to generate volunteering opportunities for seniors participating in the program. He's been working with the Development Team to create a roadmap to make the All for Good more useful. Here, he talks about his experience so far this weekend and the talent that we've assembled.
